Holiday in Dorset

If you are thinking of a holiday in Dorset come and stay at Britmead Bed and Breakfast in West Bay. Situated on the World Heritage Site now dubbed "The Jurassic Coast" which covers 95 miles of truly stunning coastline from East Devon to Dorset, with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth's history. A wonderful place to relax or explore.

Beaches

Nearby beaches range from rocky and covered in fossils to fine sand. The closest beach is West Bay which is made up of small shingle and is very comfortable with nearby amenities such as restaurants, pubs, ice cream and fast food kiosks.

Fishing and Boating

There are numerous opportunities for fishing nearby; charter boats, beach casting and freshwater lakes and the kids love dropping in crab lines and shrimping nets off the pier and rocks.

Their are sightseeing and speed boat charters available or perhaps a more sedate row up the river.
